Teaching Assistant
Training
Fall 2009 workshops will be Thursday and Friday, August 20 and 21, 2009 in Renfrew 112. An additional workshop will be Wednesday, Aug 19th for International Students in TLC 23.
Workshop Description
Teaching Assistant Professional Training is intended to provide professional development opportunities for all Teaching Assistants. Topics include UI academic policies and procedures, available resources, teaching methods and more, which are highly beneficial to new and experienced TAs alike. This course is mandatory for all part time and full time Teaching Assistants located on the Moscow campus. A student must complete the workshops the first semester of the assistantship.
New for Fall 2009 !
Assistant Professional Training will no longer be taught as a formal course (INTR 503); but rather, the essential content will be taught in the form of two, required, half-day workshops each semester on two days. This is a requirement of employment with the University of Idaho.
Below the schedules, please see links of some PowerPoint Presentations that presenters will be using for these training sessions.
Additional training for international students:
Additional required teaching assistant training for international students will be held Wednesday, Aug 19th, 8:00-12:30 in TLC 23.
